A downloadable game for Windows

"Norowareta: The Three Treasures" is a low-resolution single-player survival horror game set in Japan in the Edo period. Players will take the role of a tourist in Japan who finds themselves in a bizarre situation as they get dragged into the past and wake up in a dark-lit shrine where they need to solve puzzles and fight monsters on their way to escape the nightmare they are in.

Gamedev's note: Please bear in mind that this game is still in development, thus some bugs are still to be expected. The Settings and some of the enemies aren't yet functional in this build. There are still more mechanics to be implemented and the current level is bound to change. However, you can still try it and explore the map, find the keys, grab the treasure and escape the shrine.

This is the alpha version of the game, soon we will publish a demo version of the beta. Follow us to get notified when that happens.

We are game design students and this is our very first game. We would love to read your reactions comments and suggestions. :)

...but I saw letters in this game which looks like Japanese(actually it's not.I couldn't understand it at all)

I can translate english to Japanese,or even chinese, so if you guys need a help, please give me a reply.

Thank you

Hello! We are so humbled by your feedback and your support. Thank you for playing this early version of Norowareta.

Regarding the texts, yes, the texture used for the documents/notes in the game only have a text placeholder using "lorem ipsum" in kanji, hence the background texts are impossible to understand.

We have plans on having the game fully translated into different languages, especially in Japanese. We are glad for your offer and will reach out to you once we need help on the translations.

Thank you! :)

So far this is really good! Even without the enemy AI I jumped a few times, so I look forward to this being fully released.

Even without the enemies AI in place, there are still a few good scares as the models are well positioned. It shows a lot of promise for upcoming patches and the full release.

Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a Youtuber. If you like my videos, please leave a like and subscribe at my channel.

This is an amazing horror game that has a lot of potential in becoming a popular and horrifying horror game. I loved the design of the map and the surroundings and the amount of attention towards the little details (Furniture, beds, teapots etc.). I loved the look of the game and wandering around the map to see what is the current direction of the game heading. I also loved the designs of the spider monsters and am definitely looking forward to an insane boss battle with a horrifying and cool boss.

Some things that I was thinking about while playing through the game is how the monsters would act towards the player, whether they are just there to annoy the player by scaring them, actually chasing and trying to kill them etc. This would be crucial in shaping gameplay as well as the main character's abilities against the monsters. I hope that there is actually more boss battles in the game, perhaps one for each area and the game mechanic for fighting must be carefully designed as well. Moreover, the boss mechanics and abilities also have to be well thought out as well. (All the elements of a horror fps fighting and solving puzzle game starting to make me curious as to how the game would be like after completion.)

This was a really cool atmospheric horror game and I am extremely interested to see how this game will turn out when it is completed. Keep up the good work Creators!

Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.

Hello there DragonExplosion! Firstly, thank you for trying out our game and making a video playthrough. Secondly, we love reading your comment. And lastly, we are glad for your interest and enthusiasm for our work.

We have plans for the enemies' mechanics and the boss battle. And to confirm what you wrote in your comment, yes, the enemies will actually chase you and try to kill you. But don't worry as you will be able to protect yourself somehow.

All of these will be added the next time we release something here. It might take a while since we are doing this project alongside our studies. However, rest assured that we will continue working on this and we hope that in the end, we are able to deliver the potential of this game. Once again, thank you very much for your appreciation and support! :)

Hello! Thank you for playing the alpha version of Norowareta. We hope to see your reaction once the enemies' mechanics are fully implemented. We are glad that our spider women were able to serve their purpose of being creepy albeit with the lack of functionality. :)
